Charge Michael – Drums, Guitar
Greg “Charge” Michael, the co-founder of Desert Ridge Music Academy, teaches music lessons on drums and guitar.
Phoenix native Charge started on guitar at 7 and drums at age 10. By 13, he was playing professionally as both a drummer and guitarist in local clubs.
Charge enrolled as a full-time student at Berklee College of Music in the spring of 1999. At Berklee, he performed in various groups and took part in over 40 recording sessions as a drummer, guitarist, bassist, pianist, vocalist, songwriter, engineer and producer. He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Songwriting, and has composed over 50 songs. Listen to his tracks on myspace.
Charge has been teaching music since 1999 and co-founded the Desert Ridge Music Academy in 2008. He currently performs in the Valley as a drummer, guitarist and singer and performs throughout the U.S in various drumming acts. He has had the pleasure of performing with the Break-Dance group “Furious Styles Crew”, the Tap-Dance group “Tap 24/7″, DJ Z-Trip and members of “STOMP!” He can be seen live performing with The Cover Agents and local improv band JUNK.
